Packaging: Saviour Skin Balm
Brief: Design and production of a robust yet elegant tactile tin.
Design Process: Key to this project was the clients desire to reflect honest native New Zealand flora with an element of French sophistication. The solution draws on French tins and incorporates Manuka flowers as well as referencing the iconic Rawleigh’s ointment.
Initial prototypes were created in New Zealand and then sampled in China where several production and language barriers had to be negotiated around before taking it through to manufacture.
This has become a massive hit with customers, retailers and designers alike and was a finalist at the Wellington Gold Awards in the Discovering Gold Science and Innovation Category 2012.
